The ANTI AND THE HERO
Introduction: The “Anti - Hero” Trilogy was something I had plan around the end of summer. After making a song I didn’t really like, I decided to randomly take like a two month hiatus from making music. I was doing things like playing mario kart, eating dinners with family, and uh well that was it. It was simply the fact that I just didn’t feel like making music. That was until on a completely random day I decided to make a song, out of thin air called “Hypnotize.” After making that song, that’s when I got the idea of making a whole trilogy. Where I make two EP’s called “Anti” and “Hero.” Then make a album called “Anti-Hero.”
“Anti”: When it came to making the first EP. I wanted to approached it in a pretty dark way, inspired by Post Malone, The Weekend, and Lady GaGa. Talking about the first song “Notting Hill” wasn’t actually, believe or not inspired by the movie with the same name, originally it was just called “Dark Space.” However, after watching and realizing the lyrics sort of had the same meaning as the movie, then that’s when I decided to call it, you guessed it “Notting Hill.” It was recorded in ONE TAKE because I wanted the feeling to be RAW and ORGANIC, feeling like I was performing this live in front of somebody. When it came to the music video, I wanted it to actually shoot it on a rock near the ocean, however, we had to go to vegas so, that never happened. Skipping the song “Hypnotize” because I only made that song for fun, let’s move on to the song “Lost.” The song was inspired by this event that I saw on twitch where one guy invited this girl to a prom and in the end, she rejected him. People became very parasocial about it and was sending DEATH THREATS to the girl (who was only 20 years old). I felt really bad so that when this song was born. A lyric on that song was “I’ll be over here, when you know that, you’ll be lost in the clouds” meaning throughout the drama and hate I wish I could provide some kind of help to get rid of all this negativity on the internet. Plot twist now they are actually dating. Pretty much that sums up the first EP “Anti”
“Hero”: Now moving on to this second EP, I wanted to make something that was more I guess a bit family friendly as you wished. Inspired by people like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Originally one of the songs “Link Up” was actually written A WHOLE YEAR AGO before I produced it in 2025 September. It was inspired by my experience with going to a barber beginning with having anxiety and then having a chill chat with him in which I calmed down. In the start it was called, “Alika” however I thought that was a weird name so I put another title that rhymed with that name “Link Up.” Jumping into the song “Feel Light” had to do with the really bad homeless situation here in Hawaii, I felt bad and wished I could do something so that’s when i made this song. It had a very easy but, important meaning.
Conclusion: All these songs were pretty much done during the summer and also, there were two songs that were supposed to come out with these two EP’s called “Sweet Name” and “Vermin.” However, they were NOT good songs so that’s why they never came out. Maybe one day they will. Looking back on making those EP’s, for me it was like being in pre - school as a musician. During that time I was taking a online class from somebody who worked for “Sony Music” with the name “Natasha.” I thought her class was actually pretty good because I just wanted more clarity on what the hell do I do to promote my music. Which is also how this website was born. If your wondering why the “Anti-Hero” album sounds more different and kind of abstract from these two EP’s well then that’s another topic for another day.
